6 THINGS THAT CAN KILL YOUR SEX LIFE

Sex play an part of a relationship. In addition to sex health benefits, research has shown that oxytocin which is released by the couple during orgasm helps in bonding and intimacy.
Usually, many things get lost in long
relationships, of which libido (sex drive) is a major part.
It is rare to find couples who still feel the same passion - that sparken their early relationship - for each other after some years of relationship or marriage.
Typically, the common thing is once-happy sex life that is becoming dampened by various things that distract the couple.
Here are a few of them, many of which are avoidable.
1. Stress - Stress and sex make bad bedfellows. A US survey showed that stress, kids and work are
main factors that can kill sex drive.
2. When technology gets in the bed- Technology is a good thing, which provides better access to information, enhances communication and may allow us to work from miles home. However, sometimes the line between our jobs
and our personal lives becomes blurred. People work longer hours; spend more time on social network sites than even their relationships. When technology gets in the bed, it will definitely paralyzed sex life.
3. Relationship problems – Problems in relationships can completely destroy sexual desire
if not resolved on time. For instance, a cheating or unfaithful partner can
bruise the other person's psychological health, which affects sexual desire. If this is not properly handled early enough, it can eventually destroy the relationship.
4. Quinine containing drinks – This will come like a surprise to many people. There are many soft
drinks that contain quinine, and regular intake will dampen sex drive.
According to Germany's Institute of Reproductive Medicine, quinine-the flavoring agent used in tonic water-can cause erectile dysfunction. Other studies in Nigeria show that quinine can also decrease man's testosterone levels and this will
Hamper on his sex life.
5. Alcohol – While a small glass here and there will not harm anyone, studies have shown that regular alcohol consumption has detrimental effect on sex life.
6. Medications - Certain medications can have a negative effect on libido. Selective serotonin re- uptake inhibitors (SSRIs)
used to treat depression, raise a neurotransmitter serotonin, which is inhibitory to the sexual reflex.
Cancer treatments, like chemotherapy, are can also kill sex drive. Certain painkillers like narcotics as well as illegal drugs like cocaine - can also lower sexual
interest.
